A Great Move for Seniors
According to the most recent Ashland Housing Production Plan prepared by the Metropolitan Area Planning Council, Ashland’s senior population is projected to double by 2030. The Arbella at Ashland will help meet the demand for an affordable, luxury, and maintenance-free lifestyle for seniors who love their community and desire to remain in Ashland, but no longer want to manage the burdens of owning a home and are opting for a “downsized” maintenance-free lifestyle.
At The Arbella at Ashland, residents will have easy access to peer education, fitness, transportation services, and entertainment, all included at no charge through United Group's award-winning SUN® Program. Ashland’s seniors deserve a rental community that will offer a social, active and maintenance-free lifestyle, and the Arbella at Ashland will deliver that opportunity.
A Great Move for Ashland
Ashland is a great community with a vision to provide quality, cost-effective housing choices for seniors, in addition to committing to provide affordable housing for residents at 80% of the area median income level. The Arbella at Ashland meets both of these key objectives for the Town and their commitment to providing 10% affordable housing.
Under Massachusetts state law, real estate developers can bypass local zoning By-Laws and regulations and build affordable housing, often-times leading to undesirable development projects that are not aligned with a town’s master plan, creating unwanted traffic, and a burden to local school systems. The Arbella at Ashland moves the Ashland community closer to its commitment to 10% affordable housing without the burdens that typical 40B multi-family housing development projects create.
Developing the Arbella at Ashland will demonstrate the United Group’s commitment to Ashland’s senior population, our community, and our continuous efforts to make Ashland a wonderful place to call home.
